Matt Damon Defends Ben Affleck’s Ink Work

In a new interview, actor Matt Damon showed his support to Ben Affleck.

Affleck has hit the headlines after being spotted at the beach and sporting his huge phoenix tattoo on his back. Internet users made fun of his ink work and ridiculed his tat after recalling that the 45-year-old actor dismissed his art before as “fake and something that he needs for a film role.”

During his appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on March 21, Damon defended his friend and said, “It’s not one man’s job to tell another man what he can do to his back. You know, I support him in all of his artistic expression.”

With a laugh, Noah replied, “Fair enough. That’s a good friend answer, actually.”

The two actors have been friends for 37 years and both grew up in Massachusetts before they made their big break with the 1997 drama Good Will Hunting.
